STEM+C PI Summit

September 18-20, 2019

Location: Westin Alexandria

Address: 400 Courthouse Square, Alexandria, VA 22314

More than 200 of the nation’s leading science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and computer science educators, researchers, and members of their project teams, attended the 2019 STEM+C Summit to discuss their research findings and demonstrate products developed with STEM+C funding from the National Science Foundation (see: STEM+C Project Description Booklet). Participants strategized, networked and learned throughout a range of sessions designed to understand STEM+C accomplishments and to inspire the future of STEM+C teaching and learning. They shared new knowledge, best practices and tools both developed and under development as they discussed the collective impact the program has had over the past 5 years, and envisioned future directions of learning in a world driven by technology. As computing becomes ubiquitous across all aspects of living, learning and working in the 21st century, advances in learning about what it takes to integrate computational thinking into disciplinary learning grows increasingly more important. As such, advances in the STEM+C program will play a pivotal role in shaping this interdisciplinary and computational future.
